Faversham Community Choir was founded in 2012 and was originally based at the West Faversham Community Centre (and used to be called West Faversham Community Choir) but is now based at the Gospel Mission hall in Tanner Street. This is a ladies group of around 35 members who meet every Thursday evening between 8pm and 9.30pm primarily to enjoy singing together. We do take our singing out into the community, and have sung at the Faversham markets, at the Mayor-making ceremony, the Swale Volunteer Awards as well as informal concerts. We are a very friendly group who are always happy to welcome new faces. We learn all our songs by ear so there’s no need to read anything and we sing unaccompanied. If you haven’t sung for a long time, and maybe you’re not too sure if you can, then this is the group for you!
